St Margaret’s Anglican Church has a history that goes back as far as the early settlers of Nerang and remains the oldest Anglican church on the Gold Coast. The original church was nestled on the banks of Nerang river and remained the place of worship until 1992.

The cross was crafted out of steel by Greg White a parishioner of St Margaret's. It stands 4m high and is the focal point during our worship services, especially when it is lit up in the evening.

Today, St Margaret’s has moved from the water’s edge and now is situated amongst trees and gardens in a little piece of God’s creation. We have grown in numbers since the move –   however we still share the same image of God in humanity as the early Church Fathers:  “the Glory of God is the human person fully alive”.  As a faith community we are working towards a fully flourishing humanity, alive to beauty, dignity and love.

Join us as we continue our journey growing as a vibrant and committed congregation, reaching out to our community in a number of exciting ways.
